Sarah MacLeod

Halifax
I am an interdisciplinary artist from rural Nova Scotia who lives and works in Halifax. I work predominantly in mixed-media sculpture and video installation. My work deals with personal narratives explored through performance and storytelling. I have a strong collaborative practice and am interested in working within communities to make art more accessible to the broader public.
Workshops and Activities
I have a keen interest in collaborative and community-based education. Workshops I would be interested in exploring: silicone mold-making, papier-mache sculpture, wax sculpture and carving, weaving, needle-felting, embroidery, collage, resin portraits, cellphone film-making, cinemagraphs, digital photography, cyanotypes. I can alter workshop content to suit all age levels and abilities, and am also open to facilitating workshops that support students in self-directed inquiry-based learning.
