Halifax
My home and studio are on the shore of the beautiful Terence Bay tidal river. The natural beauty and local history are very inspiring. Most of my work is commissioned for homes, gifts or public installations. My primary medium is glass. I am an advocate of keeping a sketchbook at all times and am an avid drawer. I design for glass from my drawings and create stained glass using ancient techniques, the same as the great European cathedral windows. Stained glass is also a trade and I have restored hundreds of antique windows, designed originals, and teach in my studio.

MOSAIC (6 hours) Mosaic is a great way to play with glass and found objects. Working to a simple pattern you will build your image bit by bit on your board and let your imagination lead you. Mosaic is fun and relaxing with astonishing results first time. In this class you will learn how to score and break glass with pliers and nippers. You will be guided to utilise found pieces and pieces you cut to create your image. Finally you will learn to grout your mosaic.
