Carolyn is an innovative instructor. She has over 40 years experience teaching painting to adults and 30 -years experience teaching children's classes . In the last several years she has become involved in community projects and reaching out to teach students of all ages at local schools through various school programs. She has taken several workshops from international artists to gain new knowledge to pass on to others. She is a member of many art organizations in the Maritimes. She conducts many workshops in Acrylic, Watercolour, Oil and fused glass.
Workshops and Activities 
It is my intention to teach children different methods of art so they are not intimidated by any one method. I have done drawing classes and showed how famous arts have used lines to describe emotion in their work. I incorporate the history of previous artists and their techniques an example would be Maude Lewis, Van Gogh . I also do art projects that are community based and which give pride of place. An example would be stained glass patio stones depicting what your town means to you and having them distributed throughout the town gardens. We did a bullying project with -paper mache where we created masks . We started with drawings of different emotions and how to express them and then we talked about our feelings on that day and chose facial expressions and colour in our masks to express those feelings.
